Howard Knowles leads the team of Insurance Professionals at Shield Insurance Agents & Brokers Ltd. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Chartered Insurer. He is the proprietor and visionary behind Shield Insurance.
Having amassed almost forty (40) years experience in the industry, and a wealth of expertise in Commercial and Property & Casualty Insurance; Underwriting; Sales & Marketing and Training & Development, Mr. Knowles was inspired to assemble a stellar team and create an Insurance Agency that would provide personalized service and the best offering of insurance products to the local market.
He previously served as Chairman of the Bahamas Insurance Association and is a founding member of the Insurance Professionals Association and the Insurance Institute of The Bahamas.

Dionne Saunders is the Branch Manager of Shield Insurance in Grand Bahama. She is highly qualified having more than forty years of experience, making her an industry veteran.
During the course of her career, she has made it her goal to provide policies that fit both individual and group clients’ needs.
Ms. Saunders has worked for some of the country’s leading insurance companies, in both Grand Bahama and New Providence; serving as a Branch Manager,
Account Executive and Property & Casualty Manager, just to name a few. In each new capacity she has not only excelled, but gained knowledge, proficiency and valuable hands-on experience.
Today, she brings her vast professional expertise and passion for building long term customer relationships to Shield Insurance, and our valuable clients.
